I wanted to sign this guestbook and tell you all how important this church is to me even though I hve never been there. With men like Clarence Thornton and Hiram Wofford coming from your membership, it must be a wonderful place to worship! Thank you and God bless.

What a joy to see your wonderful wedsite. Words can not express what First Church of God means to me and what an important part it and many of the church has played in my life. I was raised in the church, accepted the Lord at Cedar Bluff Camp, Coffeyville, and was baptized by Rev H.L. Heim. Pastors Heim, Fornwalt and Jenkins were my pastors as well as Lay Pastors Billy Wiggins, Ray Dodbins and Junior Thornton. After High School graduation, I went to John Brown Univiersity graduating in 1968. Went to Vietnam from 1969 to 1971. Rev. Fornwalt married my wife, (Suellen Dickerson), and me in May 1972. We make our home in Louisburg, Ks. We are now retired school teachers actively involved in our church (FBC) here. Blessings to all of you and Praise God for the Church of God in Fort Scott. Reading the history of the Church makes me so thankful for those faithful servants so many years ago.
