First Church of God-Fort Scott

Haggai 1:1 ~ 11

The people have returned to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple.   Opposition arose to stop the building almost from the start.  The enemies of God did not want the temple built.  The temple would draw the people together and those who had power over them would lose control.  King Cyrus was named by the prophet Isaiah as the one who

would have it built. King Darius ensured it would be finished.
