Philip and Linda Wilson have two sons, one daughter and three grandchildren.  They previously resided in Decatur, Illinois and attended Boiling Springs Church of God, where Keith Jenkins is pastor. Phil was an adult Sunday School teacher in the church and Linda sung in the choir and worship team.

Phil has served as pastor of two small churches and as an associate pastor of a church that experienced explosive growth to over 900 in attendance.  These were all Illinois churches within our conference and were part-time positions for Phil. Since 2001, when he served as an associate pastor (part-time), he had worked full time in building maintenance for a Chevy dealership in Decatur.

Phil has a B.A. degree in psychology and completed the Illinois Churches of God Study Course; he was ordained to the gospel ministry in 1989. 

Phil and Linda have a true heart for God and earnestly desire to please God in all they do.  They are very personable and congenial.  Phil considers his greatest asset to be Linda; it’s obvious that they are a great team.  God has gifted Phil in evangelism, teaching and preaching.  Phil possesses a passion for one-on-one ministries, whether it is sharing Christ or disciple-making.

Phil began his ministry at The First Church of God, Fort Scott on June 12, 2005.  We are indeed pleased to have Philip and Linda join our fellowship.
